A book for practical electronics

You have probably heard about this book. One of the best books I came across. The book name is

” Practical Electronics for Inventors”,written by Paul Scherz. This book follows practical approach towards electronics. While we have been following traditional methods to learn about electronics. You know our academic books contains full of formulas and equations. But this book doesn’t.

This book explains that what is what and how does it work. Let me give an example, If you have a transistor then it shows that how does it work and explains its applications with practical approach.As a said this book doesn’t have formulas means this book uses minimum formulas.If you read this you will really enjoy it.

This book is designed to help beginning inventors invent. It assumes a little or no prior knowledge of electronics. Therefore Students,educators,hobbyists will find this book is a good initial book. At the same time technicians and more advanced hobbyists may find this book helpful.

I believe that “Learning by Doing” method helps learners to learn easily and more efficiently. Because of that we don’t forget what we did.

How to increase Laptop battery life easily

Every laptop or notebook user these days suffering from its limited battery life. As far as your system is new,you will have a good battery back up time but when it getting older you will definitely face problem of limited battery life.

To day I am going to show you the trick to increase your battery life sufficiently.

You probably know there is an inbuilt command in your windows to increase battery life as well as computer performance. But not all users are aware of it. But some of the laptops come with power saving mode option. Its quite easy to set. If your laptop doesn’t have this option you don’t worry you will do this manually.

If you have laptop with windows 7, you can use the command ‘powercfg’ . It displays useful information about your laptop’s energy consumption.

Steps to increase laptop battery back up time.

Step 1: Click on the Start Menu or Windows key,type CMD or COMMAND in the search bar.

Step 2: Search will start and it will then display an icon of CMD or Command Prompt . Simply Right click on it and select Run as administrator.

Step 3:Now it will open a command window. Type powercfg -energy and press Enter.

In windows 8 powercfg/enrgy

Once you successfully execute this command. You will get full report of scanning information in a hTML file. It commonly stores in System32 folder.

Some of the basic tips to increase battery backup

Disable your laptop’s bluetooth if not in use.
Eject or remove external devices like Pendrive/External Hard Disc/DVD/Mobile devices etc.
Reduce screen brightness. It will consume a lot of energy of the battery.
Run Application that don’t eat much RAM
Turn of your Wi-Fi if it is not using.
Make sure that your laptop’s temperature remains low.
Don’t use your laptop while charging. When it fully charges remove the power cord.

Top keyboard shortcuts

Using keyboard short cuts can greatly reduce the repetitive strain, increase the productivity, and it can help you to keep concentrated. Highlighting the text with keyboard is easier than to do with the mouse. Of course it can reduce the strain. Below are our top tips.

Key Board

Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert

Both are used to copy the text that is highlighted.

Ctrl+X

This can be used to cut the highlighted text instead of copying.

Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert

If you want to paste copied text, then you can press Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert. These both tips are used to paste.

Ctrl+F

When you press Ctrl+F then it opens FIND in any program. This can be used in Microsoft office,word,power point,etc. It also works in internet browser.

Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+Y

If you press the Ctrl+Z,you can undo the text that is copied or cut. You will do this by pressing Ctrl+Z. This can be done multiple times to undo multiple changes. Pressing Ctrl+Y to redo the undo.

Ctrl+A

This can be used to select whole text at a time.

Windows key+D

It is used to minimize the all windows.

Windows key+E

This short cut is used to open My Computer.

Ctrl+O

It allows you to select and open a file within the current software programme. It works in almost all software including browsers. It’s quite easy.

Ctrl+P

Pressing Ctrl+P turns to print preview of the current document or page. If you want to take this page as a print press Ctrl+P

Ctrl+S

Working on a document or any other file in most software programs pressing Ctrl+S allows you to saves the file. This short cut technique can be used at any time you are working on.

F2

After highlighting the text press F2 to edit or rename a file.

Ctrl+Tab or Alt+Tab

To switch between multiple applications or tabs.

What is a driver?

A driver is software it allows your computer to communicate with hardware or peripheral devices. Without drivers you cannot communicate with your computer properly. Sometimes it works but it does not work. A driver tells your computer to what it does. For example, Graphic card or Video card. It will not work properly without drivers.

Most probably drivers come with Operating System (OS), in windows you can find them by moving to windows update in control panel and checking for windows updates. If windows don’t have the drivers you need, it checks the drivers that came with your hardware. Otherwise you can find them on manufactures website.

Finally we understood that driver is important software. Our operating system contains some of the drivers integrated inside. While installing operating system it checks our hardware and it installs supported drivers.

The name itself(driver) suggests that it is a driver to drive it.

Cut off internet in Wi-Fi and LAN with "Netcut"

In this post I will show how to use Net cut and What it is.

Net cut allow you to cut internet connections of shared in Wi-Fi and LAN(Local Area Network). Often we get angry with our slow network connection. When I was surfing internet yesterday I got frustrate. Then I searched for a Net cutter and I found a software i.e. Net cut.

You may ask this What is Net-cut?

Net cut stands for “Network cut”. This software allows you to control all your computers and mobile devices which are in your Wi-Fi or LAN. You know in shared network topology,bandwidth depends on number of users.

But why NET CUT?

Basically hackers use Net-cut. But you know Net-cut isn’t only for hackers of LAN and Wi-Fi. You can stop others connection from your PC or Laptop. Of course it is not only for attacking by using this you can defends from attackers. Of course it gives complete defend against the following attacks.

ఛార్మి హీరోయిన్ గా,సత్య అనే కొత్త కుర్రోడు హీరో గా తీసిన సినిమా “జ్యోతి లక్ష్మీ”. ఈ సినిమా తో ఛార్మి నిర్మాతగా మారారు. ఈ చిత్రంలో బ్రహ్మనందం తో పాటు తదితరులు నటించారు. ఫూరిజగన్నాత్ దర్శకత్వంలో ఈ సినిమా 12-6-2015 రోజున ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. ఇక కథ విషయానికి వస్తే ఛార్మి ఇందులో వేశ్యగా నటించారు. ఇందులో సత్య అనే కుర్రోడు సాఫ్ట్వేర్ ఇంజినీర్ గా పనిచేస్తూ ఉంటాడు. ఓకరొజు అనుకోకుండా జ్యొతిలక్ష్మి అనే అమ్మాయిని బస్టాప్ లో చూస్తాడు. ఆమె వేశ్య అని తెలిసి అన్ని వేశ్య ఇళ్ళళ్ళో వెతికి చివరకు జ్యోతిలక్ష్మి ని కలుస్తాడు. పెళ్ళి కూడా చేసుకుంటాడు. కాకపోతే అమ్మయిల్నీ కిడ్నాప్ చేసి వేశ్యలుగా మార్చే ముటాకి ఈ విషయం తెలిసి సత్యని కొడతారు. జ్యొతిలక్ష్మి వాల్లని ఎలా ఎదుర్కుంది,ఆ ఉచ్చులో ఇరుకున్న అమ్మాయిలను ఎలా బయటికి రప్పిచ్చింది అనేది మిగతా కథ.

ఛార్మి ఇందులో వేశ్యగా చాలా బాగా నటించింది. హీరోగా సత్యకి ఇది మొదటి సినిమాయే అయినప్పటికి చాలా బాగా నటించాడు. ఈ కుర్రోడికి చాలా మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ఉంది. బ్రహ్మానందం కామెడి పర్వాలేదనిపించింది. ఈ సినిమాలో పాటలు కూడా బాగున్నాయి.కాకపోతే సెకండ్ హాఫ్ కొంచెం స్లోగా అయినట్టు అనిపిస్తుంది.కాని ఛార్మి జ్యోతిలక్ష్మి పాత్రకు పూర్తి న్యాయం చేసిందనే చెప్పాలి. పూరిజగన్నాథ్ ఎప్పటిలాగే ఒక మంచి కథతో వచ్చాడు.స్క్రీన్ ప్లే కూడా బాగుంది.

Ambient,Wireless charging as omnipresent as Wi-Fi? It is happening.

We use Wi-Fi to connect the internet. But recently the researchers has developed a Wi-Fi based technology to recharge your devices. We have seen wireless charging in many High end smart phones. But the technology is at implementing stage. This technology requires the device to be keep very near to the emitter ( One or Tow inches). Even it doesn’t have high enough to power anything indefinitely.

Our doesn’t have power to recharge itself. Battery is the greatest weakness to the mobile devices.
Battery technology hasn’t changed much in a last decade. Owing to this problem Google and other mobile manufacturing companies are investing huge money for figuring out how to make batteries last longer.

But what if you did not need a more powerful battery? And what if there were a way to charge your mobile phone,no matter where you were,without having to plug it in? But we have Wi-Fi signals almost every where,Scientists asked themselves why didn’t we use these signals to charge a mobile device.
You can roam around your room holding your phone,and the wireless charging system supplies power to your device without noting you ever. This can be done with using ultrasound . A charging system that converts usable electricity into ultrasound waves. Which the system transmits through out the room or some area around it. In this process a small receiver is attached to the mobile phone’s case. This case catches ultrasound waves and converts them into battery power. No power cords and other hardware needed. Imagine the possibilities,college that charges your mobile phone and other gadgets.
